FREEVIEW
The digital switchover is now upon us, with completion date 2012, the analogue signal will be switched off - meaning you will need to have the correct equipment installed in your property.
NO! This does not necessarily mean you will need to get rid of your existing TV, but you will need to have a good digital signal to receive the digital channels. Most new TV's have freeview built in, but if your existing TV has not, then a simple SET TOP BOX will be required.
A Bit About Digital
• No more grainy pictures
• Over 50 free TV channels
• Radio channels
• On screen listing
• NO monthly fees
Firstly you will need a good signal, so a new aerial may be a requirement, but with this you get a lot of bonuses - including greater picture clarity. This means ghosting/shadows will be a thing of the past for those who live in bad signal areas.
There is a vast amount to choose from including sports, news, entertainment and radio channels - all for free!
On screen listing makes it easy to view and select what is on now and later throughout the day. Also there is an option for pay per view - allowing you to opt for additional channels.
Record, Pause and Rewind Live TV!
There are a number of different set top boxes to choose from, and now there is an option to choose one with a hard drive built in. This gives you the option to record all your favourite programs direct to the box. What's better is this box also allows you to pause, rewind and fast forward live TV!
